The child, silent as ever, uneasily climbed into Izzy's lap, positioning himself so that his chest rested against hers. This was starting to become routine for the both of them. In fact, this was the least struggle that he had given her yet. Maybe coming at night was a smart move after all. Actually, there was something more than that. The child was... hugging her. Both his arms and legs were wrapped around her torso, like he was a koala clinging to a tree. The tinge of guilt Izzy always felt near the child started to dissipate, but then the illusion was broken. "Sshhlpp..." The child slurped, wiping the drool from his face. He was salivating, and wasn't hugging Izzy, but in fact reaching for something behind her. Izzy then realized that she had left her bag where the child was reaching. On her way home after helping Trevor, Izzy had stopped by Tim Horton's to pick up some donuts for her brothers. She figured it would be a nice afternoon treat for the three of them, and it was only six bucks for a dozen. However, when she had gotten home, Zach had some excuse about being on a diet for track and field, and Blake claimed they were too sweet. She wasn't about to eat a dozen donuts on her own, and so she decided to bring them to Riley. Lord only knows what he was eating out here, and he probably would have liked the treat. Maybe even knocked a few G's off of Izzy's debt-- wishful thinking. But there the vampire child was, practically climbing over Izzy to try and get at the donuts she had brought along with her. Cerasus had never shown an interest in human food, and though she was able to eat it just fine when she was a vampire, it hadn't occurred to her that it was something other vampires bothered with. Still, being ignored for a box of donuts was more than a little insulting, as was being used as a stepladder.
