Supposing it was just another student, Aki continued his reading until he heard the squeaking of marker on a whiteboard. 'Are the new people already drawing on the board?', he thought, looking up from his book to see, instead, the new teacher. 'Yoshida, is it? Hm, I didn't spot him in the panflet. Oh well', Aki pondered again. Then came syllabus, oh, and did Aki hate syllabus and introductions. There was nothing new, nothing to learn, it was the same "this is the schedule, and tell us about yourself". Aki had rehearsed this act a thousand times. Drifting back to Faust, the boy only heard fragments of what the teacher said. "Strict curriculum... be removed... Still have regular core... dorms... boys on... first... this week... End... Hero apprehension test... ice-breaker... You!" Aki looked up at the mention of you, only to see the teacher pointing at him. As the teacher walked cooly back to his seat, Aki assumed that it was his turn for introductions, and, closing his large novel, stood up calmly in front of the class for such. "my name is Aki Ogawa and I am new a student at Komei Academy. I am an avid reader, cook, and artist. Aswell, i'm excited to learn with you all this year." Short, sweet, and to the point. Now, with that mandatory aspect of the first day out of the way, Aki sat down quietly once again and pulled open Faust. He was careful to make sure that he gave a little more attention to the classroom this time around, though, not wanting to be called out as a delinquent right off the bat (but dang, was this book's plot getting good...).
