Luckily, the others began to introduce themselves as well. The three who introduced themselves were not native Japanese, even if you never saw their appearance. Their names alone gave them away. Steven Schantz seemed to confirm what Kenji had thought, as he also knew what he meant when he referred to "that bus". It seemed that they were all on the field trip to the play... But what did that mean? Why did god choose to revive them of all people? And... why did these people seem so relaxed? Kenji knew that his life wasn't normal, and he was glad to have a chance to help more people, but... these people were different. To Kenji's knowledge, most of these people had good lives. Shouldn't they be freaking out? Or maybe... they thought that it was possible to return? If it was... Kenji sure as hell wasn't going to go back. He had a new life here. He was going to be a damn hero, and he was never going to return to that broken home. Not when god gave him this second chance. This final thought was interrupted by the appearance of some new people. They were far smaller than even the shortest members of the group, and they sure as hell weren't human. They had beady eyes and hooked noses, and they wore nothing but a single strip of cloth around their waists. They carried small clubs, and at least two of them licked their disgusting teeth gluttonously. Kenji found his hand on his dagger, and was prepared to unsheathe it at a moments notice. The scent hit Kenji nearly as fast as the sight of these little monsters, and he nearly gagged from the stench. He heard a light whimpering and the sound of Chloe's voice, but it was too soft to hear. The metal dagger was drawn as Kenji heard the remark of a woman, quite the star in the science department of the school. She also probably had a bright future... Her plan was sound. Climbing the tree was probably the smartest choice, and Kenji doubted the creature's would be able to follow after them with those clubs... But if they managed to reach here fast enough, then it would be easy to finish off the group... Kenji decided to voice out his agreement, being careful that the creature's don't hear. "She's right, climbing the trees is the safest bet. Even if the goblins tried to follow, we'd be have the high ground by the time they noticed us." Kenji quickly made his way to a large tree to the west side of the group, being careful to avoid stepping on any sticks lying on the ground, unlike the beasts. Kenji nearly started to begin his ascent, but paused, deciding to wait until a few of the others either started to climb or give a better plan.
