"I think we can make the game fair even with uneven teams." Jonas mused as he looked around the group of seven. Obviously any team with Sebastian would be at an unfair advantage. The boy thought he was subtle with his abuse of his abilities, but to a man who had to pick out vampires from a crowd Sebastian may as well have yelled about his abilities from the rooftop. Not to mention the sight granted by his Venari tattoos allowed him to see the abilities of each of the students before him. It was for that reason he wanted to put them in competition with one another. Hopefully the adrenaline would push their abilities to activate. Evander and Aiden had to be on opposing teams, there was nothing to be gained from putting them on the same side, Jonas noted as he spoke again. "Mr. McKenna, you're on the first team." He turned his head to Evander. "Mr. Dario, you'll be on the second team." Jonas added as he looked between Winter and Brynn. The two both held mental abilities, although they were hardly comparable as Brynn was able to cast illusions while Winter was able to afflict the memories of others. In the end both could be ideal to distracting a target from their goal of the flag, it was just a matter of where to put each of the girl's. Aiden had to be paired with Sebastian, the two needed to get over their petty squabble and therefore Winter could not be put with Aiden. "Miss Reyes, you'll be joining Aiden on the first team." Jonas stated before turning to Winter. "And Miss Carlyle you'll be joining Evander on the second team." A small chuckle almost escaped his throat as mused how humorous it could be that a girl named Winter had been paired with a boy who could create and control ice. Clearing his throat of the lingering mirth, Jonas eyed up the remaining three members of the class. There was Sebastian, whose fate was already predetermined and then there was Christine and Abelle. The two were going to the second team, keeping Belle with Winter was a safe bet at this point. Christine however was something of a thorn in his side. He wasn't blind to the eyerolls and muttered sarcasm. He knew the girl had no interest in being there, but she was one of them. Another Hyperhuman attending Mather Memorial, one whose abilities would be able to protect her from Aiden's flames and Sebastian's speed. Belle's abilities on the other hand were hand were much harder to predict. He could see how the insects were drawn to her, how she was able to command them. In a forest like this, she was at the height of her potential, Jonas could only hope no one among the group was allergic to bee stings. "Let's allow the bonding to begin." Jonas said breaking the silence as he leaned back. "Mr. Scott, you'll be on the first team while Miss D'Voire and Miss Wilson will round out the second team." Standing up, Jonas produced a red flag and a blue flag, handing the red flag to Brynn while passing the blue flag to Christine. "These are your flags, now if you'll all follow me." Jonas motioned as he took the group into a small clearing, the pale moon above illuminating the clearing while the trees surrounding the meadow were shaded in darkness. Handing flashlights out to the group, Jonas gave them their instructions. "Red team, your territory is north of the rock." Jonas stated pointing towards a large rock that stood in the middle of the meadow. "Blue team, your territory is south of the rock." He gestured in the other direction. "You may hide the flags in the forest but no more than a hundred yards in." Pausing he turned to the group. "I trust you all can judge that distance for yourself." "The game is over when one team captures the flag three times." Jonas said, producing a third flag. "When I wave this flag, the game starts. Discuss strategy among yourselves." Jonas stated and then suddenly the green flag arced through the air. "Go!"
