The First Arrivals
Note: Game hasn't started yet. We're still at turn 0. Waiting for 1 or 2 more players.
The Lothelonni
The elves have landed upon foreign shores, and your people seem happy about starting a new life for themselves, far away from the hardships of their former homeland. You do not yet remember how long it has been since you set sail, all you can think about is the new opportunities you will create for yourselves in this new land. Indeed, you are elves. But there are many elven breeds blessed by different Gods upon the realms. You are... A) High Elves Known for their great magical prowess of all kinds and their spiritualism. Their skin is fair and their hair blonde, their eyes glowing yellow or white. The greatest mages and wizards are these. B) Wood Elves The greatest rangers and the best hunters of all elfkind are the Wood Elves. They are known for their ability to befriend any animal and their druidic powers are considered the best. Their skin is fair and their hair brown or ginger, their eyes glowing green or blue. C) Dark Elves Feared for their powerful weaponry and armor and the best footsoldiers of all elfkind, they bolster their ranks with powerful shadowmages wielding dark powers, sometimes necromantic. Their skin is pale and their hair black or white, their eyes glowing purple or red. D) Folk Elves This strange breed of elves are known for housing every kind of elf in their presence, effectively become the most diverse and average elf breed, with potential to become adept at everything the other elf breeds can do combined, but cannot reach quite the same height than a specific elf breed.
The Iceborn
Father Frost has either forsaken you or molded you to become stronger. Perhaps it was he who guided you to this new land, perhaps now. Your beliefs are your own, however, the land is yet not yours. As chieftain Dag oversees the construction of his new settlement, he contemplates of how he is to govern his people. Is he to do as he has always done through tradition and culture, or does he seek to change his old ways to lead his people into a new age? Dag chooses... A) Feudalism Feudalism means a class-based society with farmers making up the bulk of the populi and warriors are few. Eventually vassals would rule lands in their liege's name and erect mighty castles. Getting there would take time, however, as the Iceborn has not known this type of life. B) Tribalism A tribal society have settled, but they are not entirely focused on raising crops and livestock. They embrace their culture, perhaps raiding their neighbours for supplies and loot. A warrior-society, much like the Iceborn has known before, if not entirely. At the cost of lesser food and growth than a feudal society, the tribal society would be able to prospect more resources from around their area. C) Nomadic A nomadic society never settles in one place for long. They're hunter-gatherers, and focus solely on survival. The Iceborn would have had a taste of nomadic life back when their winters forced them to move after the livestock, chasing the seasons. It would harden them, however they wouldn't found a place to permanently call home for a long time. Is this what Dag wants for his people, after such hardships? X) Other Dag has an idea... But will it work? (Own choice, could be a mix of several options or something entirely new)
The Bonesnapper Tribe
Clearly, the breed of orc on Iron Rock is greenskin orcs. That means they are quite an average breed of orc, compared to those available. They also have the ability later on to "develop" their shamans into druids, unlocking a different kind of spellcasting and spiritualism. The greenskins are also the better builders and "organizers" of orc-kind, if there would be such a thing as organization among such savagery. There are other kind of Orcs breeds however.
1) Brownskin Orcs The brownskins are known for their beastmastery and powerful shamanism. Taming beasts, big or small, is quite formidable in battle and very useful in everyday life and orcish society, but none does it as good as the Brownskins. Riding wolves is your dream, isn't it? 2) Redskin Orcs The Redskins are known for not needing to drink water as much as other races. Barely a mug a day. Legend says this is because of ancestor orcs drinking the blood of their slain enemies, gaining red skin and increased stamina as a blessing from their bloodgod. Needless to say, the Redskins are the most brutal, ferocious and savage orc warriors there is, but don't have much in the ways of magic. 3) Greenskin Orcs The most average of orc breeds are the greenskins, but they have a focus on druidic spiritualism instead of a shamanistic kind. They generally also have better growth and are better builders. 4) Blackskin Orcs The best smiths and siege-engineers of all orckind, the Blackskins use brute force in the form of superior weaponry to dominate their foes. Generally average in everything else. 5) Brute-Orcs A not too strange name for a breed of orcs, the Brute-Orcs are a breed sharing all the characteristics of the other orc-breeds, and can therefore gain all their bonuses, but never achieve quite the height as the individual breeds can.
