Artemis listened to his story knowing why he would decide to leave. "When I said she was the same race as me...I meant emotionally. When my parents were killed...I was raised in a human orphanage. I consider myself a halfling because my own kind basically wanted nothing to do with me." She said doing what she could to keep her composure but was slightly twitching to fight back the tears. "I saw she was in danger and I saw myself in her. I could not let her be killed." She said looking back to the house. "Sorry, I didn't mean to bore you with my life story." She said hiding her brushing off a single tear as she remembered being bullied and picked on every day at the orphanage every single day. They would try to pull off her ears, cut her hair, even push her down the stairs.
