C/H The senate was still not complete sadly, although Maxim had assembled a few men and women that certainly knew their stuff had been assembled. General Caerium, although long past his days of holding a sword, was a tactician admired throughout the old empire. Lady Virgila, widow of one of the greatest business tycoons the empire had seen, and with no small amount of experience running her own assets. These men and women would be essential, and as he turned to the tents he realised that they could not do anything without security and comfort. A stockade, he realised, would need to be constructed. Tents would need to be moved around into areas where houses and villas could be built, and roads would need to be implemented. A barracks where they could have a small force of dedicated guards would also be essential in case of attack, perhaps only twenty or so to form a militia, but that would be enough for now. Said barracks was put up quickly. All that was needed was for one of the largest tents to be put up in a central location, and for it to be stocked. There were bunks, crude things with straw stuffing that would not be comfortable, but would do for now. They didn't have many weapons, but what they did have would do. Boar spears, hunting bows, and a few of the men had brought over their gladius', short, lethally sharp, and designed to stab in and be done with it. Outside, wood and clay was being crafted into bricks and planks, items to make the houses somewhat like those back home. The tents too had been organised, and the paths most trodden were turning fast from grass to sun-baked earth, the slap of sandals becoming clearer without passing days. The Maerinum would have made their mark, if not for long.
- Maxim gets a military tactician and an economist to join the new senate - New Matem is organised for better flow - Materials are being gathered for permanent residences - Makeshift barracks constructed; men and women being recruited
