As the soul-weathering aura of dread pressed into the minds of his enemies, Magnus could feel at least one mind pushing back against it: an opposing aura, clashing with it. The will of the boy in the straw hat.

Luffy looked up at Magnus, his brow furrowed in focus. He could feel the thickness in the air around him, the aura he produced. Did he possess Conquerer's Haki? It certainly felt like it, though...more sinister. And angry. A lot more angry. Luffy could sense, however, that he was strong...very strong. Whatever beef Luffy's newfound companions had with him, a fight with this demonic-looking man would be seriously dangerous.

Then Magnus spoke, rattling off his speech, interpreted through Luffy's brain as such: "FOOLISH MORTALS. YOUR [b]IGNORAMOSITY[/b] AND [b]JUDGEMENTARIANISM[/b] HAVE LED TO [b]SUCH ASSUMPTERATIONS[/b] SO AS TO OFFEND ME WITH YOUR [b]FOOLISHLY WALLOW FOOLISH STUPID FOOLISH STUPIDOCITY.[/b] NOT LIKE ME, A [b]GOD[/b] WHO USES [b]BIG WORDS.[/b] LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT HOW [b]BIG[/b] AND [b]RED[/b] I AM!"

....Which then sort of trailed off as Luffy ceased listening, burnt out by the grandiosity.

He looked up at him, a finger in his ear. [color=Red]"You talk way too much!"[/color] He complained. [color=Red]"Shorten that to a sentence or two!..."[/color]

He barely had time to react to the robe-clad stranger being surrounded by a strange energy and lifted aloft when Youma and Ryu quickly rushed the big fellow. Seeing his companions were focused on attacking Magnus, he turned his focus to Luigi, looking at the sphere of energy that surrounded him. He was reticent to touch that with his bare hands....but he came up with a possible workaround. Balling one hand into a fist, it flashed for a moment, up to his wrist, before turning a jet, metallic black, clad in Armament Haki.

[color=Red]"Alright! Gum-Gum [i]Get Outta There![/i]"[/color]

Luffy thrust out his Haki-clad arm, sending it out at the floating Luigi with intent to either pass through the energy sphere and grip him, or grab the sphere itself.
