(FF X-2 honestly did not live up to expectation story-wise. Also, it was heavy on female objectification instead of female empowerment. Not to say there wasn't any character growth, just that I couldn't visually separate it from the problem in the culture of games, anime, etc with the appearance and portrayal women and girls. FF X-2 should have done a better job continuing the story of Yuna. Sorry, I digress.)

FF X-2 did have the dressphere as a full round action yes. So if it were to be a thing then I'd see it as a full round change or limited to when you enter a new world then you're set with it until you leave and renter.

Was it that thing about archetype switching around? Cause now that I think about it, that's actually a better approach to a full class change system. A full round action with a magic item permitting an archetype shift would certainly be powerful. Thought I can't say it would be simple. (I need to reread pms to make sure so correct me if I'm wrong.)
