Character Sheet: Name: Vera Ekliza Gender: Female Age: 28 Appearance: A short, athletic woman of olive skin, brown eyes, and dark brown hair, Vera was always the type of girl that attracted attention walking into a room; sometimes out of physical attraction, other times just because her sharp features and uncommonly healthy body type made her stand out of the crowd. Only ever wears clothes that could be deemed as "useful" in a survivor scenario, like cargo pants and tough, pocketed shirts. Bio: Vera was born on March 18th, 2154, to Nikalos and Cassandra Ekliza, in Athens, Greece. Until the age of five, Vera had a fire in her eyes for archaeology, always looking for things buried in the ground and visiting old ruins in her city. Like most children, her interests changed over time, slowly shifting to technology and the environment. Her interests solidified in highschool as she focused most of her free time on environmental advocacy, becoming a well known, outspoken voice for the planet by the time she graduated at age 16 with flying colors. Shortly after, she was accepted into GSIU, the Global Science Initiative University, one of the top schools in her chosen field, civil engineering. Her focus was environmental engineering, which she achieved a PhD for in a mere 5 years, and went on to receive a masters in general civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and energy engineering, all while working at that same university as an environmental engineer. During her first years at GSIU, she met a young man named Mark, and they fell in love. Vera proposed to Mark upon her final graduation day, when she was 26, and they set their wedding date for that summer. The next week they would take a plane to Greece to celebrate with the family, but the plane crashed in the middle of the ocean, leaving her stranded on a desert island with no other survivors, even her fiancé. For months, her grief led her to contemplate ending her own life several times. She eventually found it within herself to push through these feelings, and using the skillsets she had acquired, she fashioned a working (albeit shoddy) sailboat with stores for food, a place to sleep, and ways of getting through storms undamaged; all with tools and materials she crafted with the resources she had available. She was determined to see her family again. Two weeks on the sea and her boat was found by a cargo ship, out of food and unconscious. The crew of the ship brought her to land, where she became an international news piece. Her newfound fame, skillset, and resume attracted the attention of Voyager Industries, who made her an offer she couldn't refuse. Psychological Profile: Approval of colonization is satisfactory. No contempt for corporations or the company will prove useful. Political advocacy and general audacity may incite unrest, must keep close eye on environmental regulations, other political avenues will be overlooked. Intricate self-kept journal will provide useful data should subject become incapacitated. Scientific narrow-mindedness increases viability of subject manipulation. Fear of being stranded keeps subject in top physical shape, but is an easily accessed weakness of character. Skillset/Occupation: Vera is the overseer of the terraforming project, maintains environmental stability within habitat bubbles, and is the lead energy engineer. -PhD Environmental Engineering -Masters Mechanical Engineering -Masters Civil Engineering -Masters Energy Engineering -Survival skillset and know-how -Primitive first aid, tools, and weapons skillset -Public speaking experience -Fluent in Greek, English, German, and French.
