At the time I wrote that I had just finished reading Moby Dick.
That book is a behemoth. Half of it (at least) is just Melville going off about how perfect the whale is and how heroic the whaler is...
It's madness. Then the conclusion, the climax of that leviathanesque journey towards the end, is literally one paragraph. All the action happens in one bloody paragraph. Needless to say, he's my role model. I aspire towards such verbosity.
