[@Double Capybara] The word 'shaman' is not the only word used to describe the Rukbanian shamans - they're also called witch-doctors and magickers. The term shaman was only really used because...well, the closest they resemble, as you point out, are Altaic shamans. So it made some sense to use that as a term. But to ensure that we butchered these nuanced terms properly, in traditional Divinus manner, we've used magicker and witch-doctor also (already written, coming soon to a post near you). I belive witch-doctor refers generally to the healers and spiritual guides in Africa, whereas shamans are more of an Altaic and Native American thing (it's actually amazing how similar these two distinct shaman types are with regards to their manner of dress!) We could, of course, just create a new term altogether. For instance, the Eskanadran variant (closer to Rabbi than to Shaman given the different nature of the Eskanadran religion) is [i]Qarqaz[/i].
