[@pugbutter] Yep, they waited until I got attached and you can kinda tell my interest level wasn't high in the beginning. But then I as I got more and more excited and throwing out more ideas left and right. The Poof! Fell off the face of the earth.

It's better that yours leave when you don't care about the story you've created.
