Gerard is disheartened to think that there's nothing more they can do for her, taking her remains to the church was the only best thing they can do for her. Though raised catholic Gerard was never one with religion, he would attend church every so often but only to pass his afternoon breaks, sitting on the benches to whisper a little prayer or two. He guessed that somebody from the cathedral would know how to help them in this situation. He thought it would take an hour or so if they go there on foot, so it's more practical to go either on horseback, or by carriage. He looked up to Mr. Darcy, "I reckon it would be wise to bring her over to St. Etheldreda." he said "Someone there might know what's best for her. What do you think?" He took another sorry look at the now cold body, his heart wrenching at the sight of the second woman he have lying dead in his arms. Gerard insisted in carrying the body. They had to stop by at the estate first to let Milli know of what they plan to do. He caught her just as she was about to head in along with some other company. He stood just outside the lot when he called out to catch her attention. He dinnt wish to come any closer in fear of giving Mrs. Wyndham a heart attack if she should ever see him carrying a dead woman around her home. He would tell Milli that they would bring the body to the church in the hopes that someone there know how to deal with it "A short ride to the cathedral wont be a problem. " he said with a soft reassuring smile. He would help in anyway he can if it means keeping Milli and her family safe, making that promise to himself since he turned a new leaf. There was nowhere else he could find purpose. He looked at her with slight unease as he noticed Milli's soft mark on her cheek, he would very well ask her what happened but after that episode with Lord Ratherford and Mrs. Wyndham's unhappy reaction, he could've guessed much. He took one of the horses at the stables and hung the woman's body on the horse. He turned to Mr. Darcy "We would be able to reach the cathedral in a few." he said as he saddled up. "Let's just hope we find someone there who could truly help."
