@Klomster Indeed Andrew mentioned that to me as well, hopefully a good portion of it will be done before he goes off. Otherwise some of us may have to do there post for next round a bit earlier.

Hey, sorry I apologize for my late response. I got caught up in the holidays and haven't had the chance to respond. As for the military strength, I wasn't entirely sure and was hoping for an outside opinion. The Clans aren't nearly as populated as other nations, however they have a larger amount of trained warriors as opposed to levies of civilians due to their warlike nature. For the number of clans, I was thinking of eight major clans and a dozen smaller ones.

I would imagine the clans would have a combined military strength of around 3500 - 4500 people or so. It may be a good idea to go into a bit of detail about the main clans. Not much just the basics such as their name, notable traits and number of clansmen (1000 clans man would be considered a very big tribe).

You could have your intro post simply being a introduction for your main characters and them meeting up with the various other tribes people. This could give everyone an insight into the tribes society and how the different clans people interact with each other.

I apologize, I should be back in full faculties by next week, in earnest. I return to my university this weekend, and the return to a scheduled existence away from my the folks here at home will give me a much more regular schedule than the chaos it has been. Basically, once I'm back at university this scarcity of my presence will be done away with and my regularity will improve back to standard.

He's definitely a moderate compared to Lana, but he's more accepting than many others. He has no problems with mages or magic, thinks that they should live without fear of persecution or prejudice, and thinks the Circle deserves the full support of the state. He could never support Lana's magocracy, however.

@ZB1996 Interesting.

I do have an idea that could get Lycaon involved with Lana's story; The church is very anti mage and as a result Lycaon could use this to his advantage. He could use mages as a scapegoat for things that are going wrong in the city and use the people's fear of mages to strengthen their faith in him. This would then create conflict between Lana and Lycaon, leading some interesting conversations between the two.

The dislike doesn't have to be personal, after all...

The church is notorious for blaming mages for pretty much everything that goes wrong. Just look at that pesky habit of burning mages alive found among rural villagers and the generally uneducated masses.

also, if someone doesn't set something up to barricade @sundered Echo's machinations, Lana will end up ruling all of Formaroth in a backseat driver sort of manner, mind you.

Lana is rather in need of an enemy - though, if you don't want to be that enemy @ZB1996 you don't have to be.

Though Lycaon is a demagogue, I don't want to make him very anti-mage. That being said, I can still see him opposing Lana, especially if she aggressively seeks to politically empower mages.
