He also had been explicitly told to leave. And so, considering the fact that the boy was already held in suspicion by everyone around him, he returned to his table to wallow in despair and self-loathing. "I can't help anyone...I can only be a burden," he whispered to himself. But part of him [i]won't give up[/i], part of him kept waiting for an opportunity to improve, an opportunity to make progress and show that there's more to him than a 'creepy pervert' and a 'wimp'. But when would that opportunity come, though? How can he make himself better? Still despondent, Alexander looked around again, hoping to get some answers. Master's latest slave escaping? Perhaps I should bring her back, get a reward and maybe a share of these goods..."
