With each passing step to the entrance of the supermarket he felt like there was a sense of dread that clouded over him, and as much as he wanted it to be gone he felt the only way he was going to feel better was once he was far away from the supermarket. Of course, the refrigerator had to run out of ice cream of all things. Why do people keep eating up this ice cream? It's confusing and I don't know- ugh. For Hiroto, ice cream was one of his most favorite treats. It was like a guilty pleasure for him, but one day when he went into the freezer to grab some more he realized that they had been finished! And as much as he regretted it he heard his parent's words circling in the back of his head,

'If you want to get more ice cream, head over to the supermarket and get some more. Here's the money, but make sure not to stay over too late.'

Letting out a sigh the male stood outside of the store for a moment, looking at it for his last time before following through with what he was told. Hiroto took his first steps into the supermarket that he knew very well, and then with a rush he then zipped towards the ice cream section to look at the flavors that were there. As expected of the supermarket, there was indeed a wide variety to choose from . . but for Hiroto the obvious choice was the one that was on sale and which happened to be his favorite. Chocolate chip cookie dough.

Once Hiroto picked up a small container of his favorite ice cream he started to feel like the world around him was growing disorienting, everything around him practically warping around him in a matter of moments. He raised a hand to his head just to try to help clear the cloud that seemed to come over it, but that didn't help at all. To try to clear his head Hiroto closed his eyes, but then once he opened them he was greeted by a whole different sight.

It was like he was never in the supermarket at all, because . . . because now he was in the outskirts of a town that didn't seem to be modern like the world that he was just in. All around him were some buildings, and the people... Did someone attack me and stick some drug into my system? This doesn't make sense, everything is so realistic. It's like I was transported to some medieval world. Some weird medieval world with, creatures?? I have to be crazy, there's nos such thing as a real-life neko or a werewolf or whatever those other things are. Hiroto stared in shock as people and humanoid creatures passed by him as if it was a typical day, leaving him to look like a slightly crazy person sticking out like a sore thumb.

Although Hiroto wanted to continue staring around in shock he knew that he had to do many things, because otherwise he would be completely screwed in the new world. First of all, he needed to learn where in the world he was. That could easily be done by observing the world around him, so that became his first priority. Once he learned a bit about the world around him he would then try to find some way to gain money, because he knew that even with the money that he had on him he didn't have enough money to last forever. Getting a job would help to secure that for him.

Of course, there were other matters like housing and food which he would have to deal with as the time came. But for now there was only one thing he could do...

Because he had no knowledge of the world Hiroto started to wander aimlessly, looking around him at the many creatures that he passed. Some of them were human, and others were . . . less human than he thought would be possible. The more he wandered the more he felt that he was just in some weird dream that he couldn't escape from, and that any moment he would wake up in a hospital bed where doctors would explain the source of his vivid dreams. Of course, it didn't seem like he was in a dream but he didn't care! As he walked he then picked up on some creatures he didn't know muttering about how someone seemed to have disappeared, something which caught the boy's interest.

Even if it was a long shot, Hiroto felt that at least this was a place to start. The poeple who were talking seemed to be trying to keep it to themselves, but because of the fact that he needed anything to get his adventure started he was willing to take a risk and see what in the world the other creatures were talking about. If I can help this person out, maybe they can help me too. I'm new to this place so . . I'll do anything! This can be an opportunity for me to understand this place. When he approached the random stranger he asked, "Hey, what's going on?"

In response the stranger seemed to be unsure about whether or not to tell him, although Hiroto didn't doubt that approaching a random stranger with a problem would be weird in this world. After a hard stare the stranger spoke, "Someone's missing, I know that she's missing because she normally leaves around this time-"

Hiroto then asked with the raise of an eyebrow, "Then what do you know about the missing person?"

He got as a reply, "They took her, some people who seemed to be prepared for a fight. They may have been wealthy but-"

Taking that as his only advice Hiroto stormed away from the one he was speaking to, knowing that if someone was missing there was a chance that they would be in danger. But what do I have to protect someone? I . . . but I can't let something like this slide unnoticed. I have to do something, it's only right. Even if they don't help me in the end, that person needs help! I'll start by looking at more expensive buildings, and it's probably some place that is a bit removed from here so that she wouldn't get away easily. I don't have all day!

But when he started his search, at first he turned up no results. Running as much as he could he felt almost like his search was going to be for no avail, or maybe that this was some prank that the person played on Hiroto since he suddenly appeared in the streets. Well OBVIOUSLY there's no way some abductor is going to have an obvious place, it could never be that easy. But these mansions... I don't care how much it takes. Abducting someone is wrong and I need to set things straight, no excuses. But when he approached the door to a seemingly well-off person he heard the sound of someone calling out for help, it wasn't a strong voice but he could tell that maybe this person was the one that he had heard about earlier.

Wanting to do his best to help out Hamaguchi walked towards the source of the noise, his eyes looking toward a cellar door which seemed to be closed at the moment. But once he got close enough he heard the sound of someone else, someone who definitely didn't seem like he intended to do any good. Since Hiroto had nowhere else to go he hid against one of the walls of the mansion, his chest heaving slightly from the running he had done previously as he tried to pick up on the conversation. Because his concentration was thrown off he was only able to pick up on certain things, but even those things were enough to set off the alarms in his head. Slave. Getting a share of the goods... this isn't good. I have to do something, don't I? But what am I going to do to stop whoever this weirdo is? Slaves shouldn't be allowed... what am I going to do? Hiroto wasn't sure how much time he had but he doubted he had much time to waste.

Hiroto looked down at himself but he was certainly not just ready to fight. He had no offensive weapon to use on the merc, all he could really do was buy time for the girl to escape. Cause a distraction to last just long enough to keep the merc at bay... that is probably the best option. Of course, there is the problem with getting caught and all that. But all problems manage to work themselves out in the end . . . right?

Hiroto shook his head as he came to a final conclusion. If he was going to do anything, he would go out fighting dramatically just to make sure that the other girl would have time to escape. Grinding his foot down onto the earth beneath Hiroto then came out from his hiding spot and dashed at the merc, trying to use the surprise attack to his advantage. When the male got close enough he tried to go for a punch directly to the merc's face, thinking that by stunning the man he would then get an opening for another strike. I doubt I can hold off a guy with a weapon for long at all, but as long as I give her a moment.. it should be fine.

Hiroto muttered once he had caught the merc's attention, "Get out of here, whoever you are."
