"You never saw me. I am not here." "Darlin.. You aren't John Cena. I can see you clear as day. I can smell ya, hear ya, and fell ya magic. Now please, don't try to pull that magic trick again and get up. I ain't plannin' on hurtin' ya." His tone became very exhausted. He didn't enjoy her trying to use magic on his mind, but he was fed up. He had been listening to everyone thus far, and after reaching a hand out to Kasumi as a sign of peaceful cooperation, he merely turned his head back to the people around the room and listened as Gavin began answering questions, before he decided to speak up again. It was once Gavin finished his words that Eric cleared his throat and looked around the room. He surveyed each and every one of them with a furrow in his brow. His bottom lip was tight and his upper lip sneered at many of the comments that were made. His eyes only glanced back and forth a few times before they closed and he parted his lips to speak once more. "This is new to us all. Yes, for a couple weeks, if that even, we have had this... magic. However many of you speak as if you have had this all your life. I would advise against that for many of you. Charles, for one. You are young Lad. You act like this magic is known to you all your life. But what would you do in a situation if you were hunted as we are now, backed into a corner, but without it? Don't answer. it is rhetorical. It meant to be an eye-opener for the realization that we are Magi. We are not learned Mages. We don't have decades of training, or study, or performance. This isn't like the tales we heard as Kids of Merlin, or the Ancient Wizards. We are all new to this, so ego's based on powers is a false sense of strength. Powers may fail, tactics may faulter, plans my go awry."Eric spoke sternly, but not threateningly at this moment. He turned his head back to Kasumi a moment, hoping she had taken his peace offering, before looking back around to them all again. "I have no intentions of making anyone my enemy, or outing them from this group. We have already lost one, even knowing we are being hunted she chooses to leave. That should indicate something to you. We have magic, unspeakable talents, yet we are being hunted. What do these hunters think they can do, huh? I already know a vast majority of you are thinking such a thought. That is what is wrong though, if we are being hunted, don't you think there is a reason they are bold enough to do it? A plan, or some form of equivalent to us, that makes them capable of such act. We might have magic, but as it stands we don't have unison among us. We have egos, ideals, and disbelief." Eric continued on with his words for a moment before shaking his head. "Either we band together, and we work together, with common-sense, or we die un-unified and with swollen heads. Hate me if you like, but I know when a blunt reaction is needed. We are hunted, and you all siply say: 'Let her be invisible if she wants.' That isn't how logic works, simple as that. I don't plan to run her off, but lurking isn't any better for this moment's circumstances." Eric simply nodded to them all as he finished his words. They carried on a bit longer than he expected honestly, he never planned to make a large class speech to them all as he did. However it couldn't be stopped, and it wasn't too bad in his own thoughts. A seconds of taking a deep breath passed before Eric waved for Marcus to join him, which was over still next to Kasumi. He had to speak with Marcus, since Gavin so politely volunteered Eric to watch Marcus for the reason of baby-sitting him, for some reason or another. However he wasn't in the mood to dispute it, or question it. It gave him an opportunity to speak with yet another of the Magi and make a friend, as well as band them together. "Aye! A pleasure, Marcus. So, I will be your 'Watcher'? Well, as I see it, we should get to know each other a bit, maybe not immediately, if you don't much feel like speakin'. But, I am always here to chat. I just wanted to say it'll be nice to have a partner around."
