Uthri tilted her head to one side in surprise. "No birthdays? Well, if this is not done in your village, perhaps having one big day makes up for it?" Uthri turned around to Newt, just as Rhazii had climbed down from Fendros' back and joined him. "Newt is lucky that he gets both," Uthri laughed.

Janius was the first to address Ri'vashi when she arrived. He gave her a nod and a smile. "I'm glad you could join us, general Ri'vashi."

The title caused an initially distracted Gallus to turn around and grin. "Good morning!" He raised a hand in greeting to Ri'vashi.

Newt was, of course, surrounded by the gaggle of friends that were invited to the ceremony, but Rhazii eventually caught his attention. He had only just learned the nature of the naming day and had his ears perked with excitement. "What name are you going to get, Newt?" Rhazii asked.
