Roma Bhakti
The exterior of the museum afforded a rather poor view of the night's sky. Looming before Roma's gaze where the cranes and high pitched roofs of the ship yards, wreathed in a variety of bright lights cast by the beach beyond. Even from the distance separating them, her ears were assailed by the reverberations of party goers swarming across sands. A rumbling against her breast alerted the Eel that her Tentacool had awoken, it's big eyes creaking open with a flutter that left it staring up her. Roma expected it to latch onto her with its well intentioned Constrict and cry out for affection, but to her surprise the squid pokemon had its attention drawn away by the sounds of gathered trainers. She clutched the bouncing squid to her buxom to keep it from bouncing away into the water and swimming out along the beach where any trainer could mistake it for the many wild Tentacool and attack it. "Hush little one. I will carry you there myself." Roma said with a consoling pet of its moist head. The Tentacool voiced its joy in being enabled and settle down so Roma could carry out her promise. Young as it was, it knew that she could be a real pushover when it came to the desires of her pokemon, as most others wouldn't bother to raise a common pokemon like Tentacool from an egg, let alone baby it as the Eel did. They strolled down Slateport till pavement gave way to fine sand and Roma had to weave her way around planted umbrella's and boisterous youths playing among one another or their pokemon. She thought that Tentacool was perhaps looking for a similar playmate, maybe a young Igglypuff or a Marill, but the baby pokemon obstinately tugged its trainer towards the sounds of battle that had Roma standing at the end of a line for the Battle Boat tourney, not that she was aware of that. "Really? This was what you wanted?" Roma deadpanned, only to receive a vigorous nod in response. "Hmm....okay, we had no other plans, so you may as well start training like Truffles and Weaboo." A few minutes later, and the Eel would find herself at the front of the line with a ticket stamped 71 and standing before a plot of sand designated for her battle, wondering who would be going against her Tentacool first.
