[indent]Prior interrogations of Van Zandt have yielded little about his life prior to making his way to US soil. However, we have obtained some information based on study. Van Zandt presents himself in a very controlled manner, speaking only when it is required, refraining from using foul language or slang terms and holding a generally polite demeanour. Medical records make mention of a potential for autism but no formal diagnosis has occurred. Emotional responses seem stunted and vacant, except when superiority is challenged. It is our belief that Van Zandt believes himself to be the smartest person in the room, which in many cases may be the truth. Past Convictions show a predisposition for severe brutality despite Van Zandt’s belief in being a cultural man.[/indent][/indent]

[indent]Very little is known about Van Zandt’s life before America but we have managed to piece together some information. It is believed his father was a career criminal, killed before Hugo was even born. His mother is known to have died in childbirth and he was raised by an aunt. As stated earlier, Hugo is thought to possess low level autism which pay explain his demeanour and penchant for violence when threatened. He spent time in an out of youth correctional facilities for his behaviour before travelling to the UK and falling off the map. He resurfaced some years ago in Vice City, running a bar before moving to LS three years ago.[/indent][/indent]
