For a moment, it seemed one of the guards would catch him... but he heard the curious ringing of a small bell nearby, distracting the guards long enough for him to slip into the Blacksmith's shop. It was very warm inside, a roaring fire stoked and crackling invitingly. A heavy anvil was set and a large vat of water sat beside it, various tools of the smithing trade sat around the shop, hanging from its walls and on various tables and surfaces. Sitting on a three legged stool was a man of unknowable age, a man of rippling strong physique with muscular arms and a broad chest, hidden beneath his meagre grey shirt and black sturdy apron. The man had a short white beard, greying at the fringes and hair to match, a hammer clutched in one hand as he was working on a short sword, still hot. "Ahh... seems we have a visitor." the man noted, looking up from his work. "What brings ye here, lad? Not the kind of night to be sneakin' around, is it?"
