Hold up -- what exactly is on the paper that the group was handed? From the opening post, it says:

The name and photo provided on the inside of that paper is your assigned partner and the address is where you will be rooming together.


But does it also have a brief and a note on what magic mages have??

Not everyone will/or is expected to have a declared magical affinity, so there would be no point in adding it... Plus it forced conversation if there's little information to go on. Zaria is a bitch like that, quite fond of her theatrics.

With males being the only vampires able to reproduce, I imagine the name and everything is passed through the male line. Is the vampire society is mostly patriarchal? Because, on one hand, I feel like women would have the freedom to attend to their individual interests. And on another, I feel like they aren't going to be as valued by the men, who decide on everything.

@Kidd I'd almost see it being reversed. Males have to stay home and raise their offspring as their will far outlive their children's mothers. Perhaps the name is passed down through the male, but like....yeah. My thoughts.
