That's definitely good to know, since nobody likes a headache. 
Aelyn would probably be veeeery hesitant to use her sense borrowing ability on Ryan anyhow, in fear of finding out some top secret gang biz or something. 
By the way, Ryan is quite an interesting character, and his powers are pretty neat.
