James chuckles at Kyra's response to her reptiles being touched, as she is taken in they head towards the garage. Doctor Shepler brings them inside and the garage is filled with only a small selection of vehicles and engines. "As you can see, we need some help." James nods. "Yes we do, I will do work, we will get this place running right."

Kyra helps the quarantine people with her animals and once they where checked, she brought them to the biotope. "Don't you wanna watch them interact with the new place and other animals" a young women asked her. Kyra raised a eyebrow and rolled her eyes at the women.

She walked into the biotope and got out of her backpack a notebook and a pen. She started to write what had happened and what was going on right now. She then started to make a list and went on a little search for all the animals inside the biotope.

- 2 and a half hour later -

James would find a scientist walk into his work space. "We need your help.. Your friend Kyra had fainted inside the biotope" she said.

James follows the scientist to the biotope. "Do you know what happened?" He asked as they walked down the corridor to the enclosure. "No, I was in the quarantine area when she passed out and they had me come get you." Walking in he starts looking around for her.

Another scientist opened the door. "We think she over done herself. Because these animals are used to have a temperature of at least 40 degrees we think it's not much but we actually never been inside this room" the male said. "She is a stubborn women.. We thought it was best to get you to pick her up" he explained. He simply had not the strength for it himself.

Kyra laid on the ground, a few feet away from the door. Some bearded dragons were now using her as a place to sit on and her face was reddish. Sweat drops where easily seen on her face and her white blouse was sticking on her body.

James picks her up and holds her, the dragons staying put as he lifts her up. "She is more stubborn than me and that says something." He carries her out of the biotope and into the cooler area though it is still plenty warm. He holds onto her and tries waking her up. "Come on Kyra."

Some doctors came over and placed the animals back in the biotope. They leaded James to a area where Kyra could wake up without any danger for her body temperature and they came to check on them so now and then.

After a while, they brought cold and wet cloths to place on her head and eventually after almost an hour Kyra started to wake up. When she opened her eyes, it all was blurry but soon she saw James. "They have so much amazing animals..." She whispered. Her voice was weird because her throat was dry. A nurse came with some water and a straw and gave it to James. Kyra wanted to sit up but when she did, she fell back on James lap. "Woaw dizzy!" She said and closed her eyes. " Don't worry, I'm still awake" she said and opened one eye to look at James.

"Kyra, I am putting my foot down, no more biotope for long periods, 40 degree's Celsius, that is 104 degrees farenheit. You were in there for over 2 hours and even I can't handle that kind of heat for that long. It take an hour for you to wake up after we got you out of there." He pulls her up to sit on his lap and gives her the water again.

Kyra took the water with gratitude and drank from it slowly. "I guess I have to agree then.. I was just fascinated with the reaction of my animals in this place that looks so much like there natural habitat" she said and gave him a sweet smile.

"Dinner is ready" a young women said. "Cool!" Kyra said and got up quickly. Too quickly, she stumbled back and sat down on James his lap. "Hey! You here too?" She joked and giggled. She had not changed a bit by what happened just now. She closed her eyes and leaned against him. "Carry me to the dining area?" She asked.

She had never made it a secret that she liked James more than just friends. She looked at him with her blue/brown eyes and smiled.

"Well, I guess I can do that." He smiles and picks her up. They walk to the dining hall, the smell of food invades their nostrils. "Oh boy, this is gonna be really good." James puts Kyra down and sits down before getting any food.

Kyra secretly enjoyed being hold by James and when they where at the dining hall, she felt better already. He placed her back on her feet and she went to sit on one of the chairs. She looked around and soon was served a plate of food and a extra big glass with coke, extra ice.

"You still need to cool of Miss" the young male said with a charming smile. Kyra smiled and looked at James.

James continuing to sit there with Kyra. He stands up and walks up to get some food, eventually coming back with a plate of nachos with jambalaya and nacho cheese. He sits down next to Kyra and puts his arm behind her.

Kyra smiles at James and started on her veggie salad. She had baked potatoes with a salad and a sausage. She didn't say much but sure didn't mind that James was holding her. She took a sip of the coke and looked at James again. He never really had shown interest in her, at least not that she could remember but then again he wad different from any other man in this world.

She thought back about the moment he told her what he was. She had thought that he had been high or something until that next night that he had knocked on her door with a few deep cuts that could never been from a knife. She had helped him or and never doubted him again.

He starts eating his nacho's with a lick of his lips. "This is really good Kyra, you should try this." He slides the nachos over to her, they are covered in chicken, andouille sausage and rice as well as cheese.

Kara smiled and took one nacho. She took a bite and smiled at him. "Tastes good" she said.

* TIME SKIP... 2 WEEKS LATER *

As promised to James, Kyra had been going easy with working in the huge terrarium. She was now in the office next to the terraria working on her report about how her own animals were reacting on the new environment. They did pretty well and she was glad. Even her favorite bearded dragon, did well and found his own place in the dessert part.

James comes walking into the office carrying a brilliant bright blue indigo snake that is very docile and wrapped around his arm but searching around through the air. "Hey Kyra, check this badboy out." The snake being at least 7 feet long and the better part of 10 pounds in weight. The colors, even among the indigo snakes beauty, is beyond compare.

Kyra turned around and her eyes started glimmering. "Where did you get that beauty?" She asked. She slowly got up and held her hand out. She showed no fear and slowly the snake would go towards her hand and slide down her arm.

"You ist give him a name, then I'll make a file for him" she said. She now had a quarter of the snake curling around her and she stood close to James so she knew for sure it wouldn't fall or anything

"I went out shopping and saw they had him for sale at a pet shop. Picked up something else but I couldn't exactly carry that one in here." He chuckles and looks down at her. As she steps close he places his hand on her back and watches the snake wrapping around her arm.

Kyra smiled and when she felt his hand she couldn't hide a slight blush. "I'm gonna call this one 'Diamond' " she said and looked at him. When he mentioned he had picked up something else. "What more did you pick up ?" She asked, not able to hide her curiosity.

She took Diamond and placed him in a quarantine terrarium that was in her office. "This one will keep me company here until I know if he can survive in a 'wild' environment " she said and looked at James again

Kyra smiled and first quickly wrote on her note pad to make a file for Diamond. Then she grabbed James his hand and followed him. "Why are you smirking? Do they pay you so much that you could buy your most favorite car or something?" She asked a bit teasing him. She knew how much he loved cars and was really curious by now
