"I think you're mistaken, [i]friend,[/i]" Captain Marvel redoubled his grip, though he winced slightly as the electricity arcing off of the man intensified.  "I think this fellow here and I are perfectly capable of protecting everyone here from the likes of you."  He put his second hand on the man's other shoulder, and did a pirouette(a dance move learned from a VR game) dragging the man so that Captain Marvel was between him and Seline, and so that he came face to face with Ferro Lad.  

"I was hoping," he addressed Ferro Lad now, "Not to fight at all, but -- Mph!" The grunt was from surprise more than pain, as the villain had just jabbed his elbow into Captain Marvel's ribs.  The Captain spun him around by his shoulder(not wanting to hit a man from behind) and said "Very well!" as he delivered a rather solid right hook to his jaw.
