[@Gowi][@tsukune] I don't study music or anything, but my strong understanding of psychology does bleed over into music and various impacts it can have over people. Like what tsukune mentioned earlier, I sometimes find myself showing interest in a piece of music from a genre that I'd overall dislike, but the song has to really connect to me. I'm an avid lover of music though, with a wide range of interests in terms of genre, but some genres just sort of feel 'meh' to me apart from some exception pieces. I use music to invoke meditative states and have done so since my very early childhood, and there's always pieces of music I connect to certain characters, scenes, or themes/concepts I write. [@Dynamo Frokane] Yes and no. If we're talking about 'better' in regards to whether or not they're 'more enjoyable' then this is 100% subjective, while if we're talking about whether or not one is better than the other from a 'balance' or 'competitive' perspective then it can become a bit more open to debate, but it's still subjective in a lot of senses just because no one is likely to entirely agree on what makes something good or bad on a balance/competitive level. For example, I think games that are combo-heavy take less skill/strategy because they allow players to just practice a really big combo and then totally make up for a lack of skill in all other regards of meta by optimizing damage on lucky hits, while the majority of the FGC is more or less obsessed with combos in this era. This is a particularly big problem in games where combo starters come from mix-ups that are basically safe or can't be reacted to (or both) -- this also happens to be the biggest problem with input latency, since it allows lag abusers to optimize high damage from unsafe moves that no good player would toss out so recklessly. [@Ailyn Evensen] Couldn't comment on this due to how busy I've been (which you know), but those're nice photos. [@Slypheed] Welcome to the thread, even if it was just to respond to a notification. [@NekoMizu] Yo dude. I've been unable to really keep track of this thread, given how I'm pretty busy now and especially due to a major breakdown with my PC in the last few days. I'm currently running a lot of data recovery, and won't be able to open up tabs needlessly that could make it happen again. There's a few OOC discussion threads I had wanted to comment on and leave input regarding, but that's just not able to happen much anymore with my workload. Hope you've been doing alright. There's a Discord chat link in my signature, and you're allowed to use it even if you're not part of GRG -- the overall discussion will focus on GRG though. It's not the GA channel, but eventually it'll be connected to it in a sense.
