Alex - Awesome character (what a royal pain in the ... cough, cough).  Very real type of character with plenty of detail to give a decent idea of what he is like to meet. I like.

Better news is that one of the characters I had tagged for use as a mortal here is based in the New Orleans area.  He dropped out of school after 8th grade to work in the family businesses.  His foster mother owns a Cajun Asian food court that ought to have star ratings, but does not.  His foster father ran an auto repair garage until he suffered an "accident" of carbon monoxide poisoning that left him a vegetable.  His foster uncle moved out from Arizona to help the family by taking over the garage and trying to home school the kid.  As if that wasn't interesting enough... the character is half Native American part Asian, part Caucasian.  He has a chip on his shoulder about that.
