Gerard paused and considered Mr. Darcy's suggestion. He was somehow confident in going to the cathedral since he figured it's more likely that some nuns there would be more familiar in solving this problem, or the hope that somehow they will still be able to save her. Even if deep down he knew it was hopeless. But then again considering the time it would take to get them there, heading to St Peters would be more practical, since it's closest to the park. And the sooner they give this dead woman the proper attention, the more better.
