I know the lore, like what this RP seems centered around. I can just use the wiki to look up anything I don't know, I think. Like what @Yennefer said, we seem be playing the past.

A bit more elaboration on the Zodiac Guard and ideas for it: rather than a designated Librarius, the vast majority of the Legion is psychic to varying degrees, and aside from the most senior members like the command staff and other super-Chapter groups such as the Honour Guard, named after Ophiuchus, each Chapter in the Legion is named after one of the Zodiac symbols, with a particular colour defining it aside from the Legion's colours, and roles vaguely similar to the Zodiac they're based off of. For instance, the Sagittarius Chapter might be focused largely on jetbikes and ranged attacks; Pisces Chapter might focus on extreme environments, such as underwater or in the void of space; and at least one Chapter would be composed of Techmarines, I'm thinking Scorpius or Capricorn.

The exception is Cancer Chapter, which is where the non-psykers of the Legion are placed by default, and is ironically the only one which suffers any significant Chaos corruption, with a good hefty chunk of their members becoming tumor-riddled scions of Nurgle (yes, it's unoriginal, berate me all you want) that are damn near impossible to kill. After that failure, Cancer's defining colour switches from lime green to blood red, something else is done that forever mars the Chapter relative to their brethren, and- if you'll allow it, @ClocktowerEchos- the Legion might start requiring the members of Cancer Chapter to undergo possession events akin to what the Exorcists Chapter in canon does, thus ensuring that all of its Marines are sufficiently resistant to Chaos to prevent further corruption.

@BCTheEntity I would say yes, but realistically it would only happen after the heresy so for the terms of the RP, I'd say probably stay away from it. You wouldn't really want to risk a daemonic possession when there's plenty of daemons and shit running around already you have to fight.

@ClocktowerEchos Fair enough. I suppose there'll be a bit of post-Heresy stuff to deal with IC anyway, so perhaps the measure can be implemented within the endgame content. Cancer Chapter would still be harshly reprimanded for its failure to not be corrupted despite being the least readily corrupted Chapter of the Legion, though. I'm thinking they might handle the more dangerous weapons of the Legion, as an aside, stuff like that one particular type of hyper-virulent toxic bomb or what have you that was being produced in the 31st century. I forget the name of the substance.

@BCTheEntity Sounds okay, just don't make each one of your Chapters into its own hyper specialized thing. Since I feel that would make it quite hard for some people to follow and keep track of while also making your legion a master-of-all-trades sort of thing since it would then have a counter to everything and does it more than just "proficiently".

@ClocktowerEchos I understand your concerns. To wit, however, the individual Chapters ideally wouldn't produce a "master of all trades" effect, since obviously most Chapters would be relatively small even if the Legion is of significant size, which since it's 90+% psykers is somewhat less likely in its own right. Jack of all trades, certainly, and its strength would be in the combination of versatility with psychic power bolstering each mini-specialisation, but if another Legion's focus is in bikes and jetbikes, for instance, Sagittarius Chapter alone would crumble against that Legion's full force without backup from the other ZG Chapters. That said, it's probably not realistic for each Chapter to focus wholly on one thing anyway (Techmarine and Command Chapters being necessary exceptions of course), so they'd probably have various Tactical Marines and the like to bulk out the more specialised roles in each Chapter. Or, maybe a general Tactical Marine force that's easily transferred to help out the more specialised Chapters? I'll think that one over.

Just curious, but who here is considering playing a female legion/primarch besides Yennifer?

As a question, who's going to be playing Big E himself? It's just that, I was hoping to develop my Primarch to closely interact with The Emperor. Essentially, I wanted him to start out as a brutish, kill-happy, rebel against authority. Typically, the kind of Primarch that would typically fall to Chaos in this situation.

Anyway, I like the idea of playing a brutish primarch that The Emperor decides that he is going to sculpt into a proper son that he can be proud of... And succeeds. I was planning on my Primarch eventually progressing to the point where he could be compared to the Rogal Dorn of this universe.

@mattmanganon I'd assume Clocktower would be playing the Emperor. Since he is the GM and all.

@mattmanganon What BC said, I'll be playing the role of the Emperor/other big characters and maybe the Chaos gods if need be with coGMs also taking the part when needed. Neat idea tho, reminds me of one of my own idea lol, I like it!
