Figuring out a timeline for Alecto. The problem is that her most blatant plundering happened before he was even 10 so...

More than 80 years ago she became the Knight of Sin

(Insert Blatant Plundering here)

More than 50-40 years ago, her mother becomes King Andromalius wife and helps him win the war with Seteria. Plots to send her mother in disgrace. She more than probably approaches the court in the guise of an old midwife (most likely she didn't know the youth potion yet).

From here on several things could have happened. Alecto was discovered trying to poison the Queen and had to flee, tries to kill the king and frame her mother for it 

-OR-

 King Andromalius and the children make the old woman mellow out and begin to patch things up, becoming the (sometimes) reluctant but always mysterious first Knight of the Queen (and wearing armor nonstop to hide she's a rejuvenated woman). Probably even becomes attached to Ariane and Adrian. She's particulary pissed off at the reluctance of her mother to save the King from a death sentence, stating that it was "his time". She begins to hate her mother once more, more that Adhemar is now king and he's treating Ariane harshly. She also leaves too, because she is utterly reviled as a Witch's right hand.

After the departure of her mother she resumes her plotting against the kingdom, mostly by sending attacks to probe their defenses. She makes a probably very foul move against the crown when she hears about how her half-sister died in childbirth. Then she concludes she has to infiltrate once more and becomes a maid for the second prince (using her youthful appearance) this time around, a couple or 3 years ago.

So, TLDR my idea is that they could only have clashed in a period dated some odd 20 years ago, since her other plundering active period was when he was still learning to be an adult. And he probably never knew how her face looked like outside her armor truly, to make things funnier.
