[@Lucian] I can't speak to anyone else's experience but most other sites I have been to are persistent worlds. In a persistent world there is a lot more motivation to post because your character has a chance, however small, of making some change in the world (or preventing a change you do not like). From what I have seen that throws fuel on the fire of motivation.
