Hello! Is there still room for one more? Her hair, which is often dirty and windblown, is a deep brown, falling in thick waves that she often tucks into the collar of whatever she's wearing, to keep it out of the way. She dawns an old, dirty leather coat, with several layers hidden underneath, covering . Her feet are often wrapped in multiple pairs of socks or stockings, stuffed into a pair of worn, leather boots, haphazardly tied with mismatching shoelaces. Personality: Circe is a vibrant and energetic girl, filled to the brim with confidence and pride, despite being born a peasant with only a weak ability to use magic. As far as she'd concerned herself, the world was her oyster, powers or not, money or not. Even if she struggled sometimes, Circe likes to find the peace in all things, and tries her best not to worry beyond filling her belly with food and staying dry at night. Despite her laid back and easy going nature, she keeps most people at a distance, and isn't the most responsive to strangers, especially pushy ones. She's more of a dodge and run kind of gal though, and will more often avoid conflict than run directly into it. If she has to though, she'll brandish an old pipe she picked up some time ago, and fight tooth and nail if she has to to survive. History Circe was born and breed a peasant, raised deep in the slums of the empire, where many of the occupants were either murderers or magicless, the latter falling further down the poverty line than anyone else. That is exactly where Circe's parents fell, both being born to moderately wealthy families, but without magic, and were cast out for being 'useless'. They found solace in shared experiences, and settled down happily, despite their loss of wealth. Circe was born not long after, a miracle in the eyes of both parents, and quickly became the center of their world. They both worked hard to live, and were happy with their little family and simple life. They discovered upon Circe's 4th birthday that she had some trace abilities-- she could mimic very odd sounds, which normal children shouldn't have made, and seemed to hear and smell much better than either of her parents. Her mother often compared her to a young pup, and joked sometimes about getting her a dog for one of her birthdays, but they never did because it was simply too expensive to have another mouth to feed. Ironically, Circe ended up dragging home a stray a few years later, and convinced her parents to keep him. She named the dog Duke, and they were insuperable after. Circe would bring him everywhere with her, and learned to rely on the animal as a partner. They got into trouble a lot together while she grew up, thanks to how curious Circe turned out to be. A sponge for knowledge, her father called it. Every book in the house had been scanned through, and all the recipe books memorized; her appetite for learning was starved at times though, due to their class standing. During those times, Circe would wander out of town for weeks, sometimes longer. She always parted with her parents properly before leaving, so that they wouldn't worry too much, and would leave with just a small pack and Duke, and every time, she came back safe and sound, albeit a bit dirtier than before. After her 16th birthday, Circe decided that she would move out of her parents home and life on her own ability, intending to manage anyway possible. She ended up signing up for the Empire's journey by chance, after hearing someone in a bar mention it, and the reward of nobility should a peasant help complete it. She didn't care too much for the advance in class, but would accept it, so long as the journey turned out to be a real adventure-- that was her true goal for signing up for such a dangerous venture. She was confident in her and Dukes' abilities though, and didn't hesitate to chase an impulse. Extra: Circe's magical prowess currently consists of mimicking voices and sounds, enhanced sense of smell and hearing, as well as the ability to talk to birds. Other than those few simple charms, she's armed only with her wit and ingenuity, which for her, has worked out quite well.
