Lucy
Lucy probably wasted a good five seconds staring in surprise as a little robot grabbed ahold of Jace's ankle. It registered that this was the woman's attack. She wasn't sure if it was going to knock him out or kill him but she was starting to think she should probably get the hell out of here. This guy was probably going to catch on now that she had just been stalling and not trying to help him. "Lucy, run!" Lucy glanced down at her phone and quickly grabbed it as she sprinted over to the car, yanking the car door open faster than she had ever done before. She climbed in and slammed her foot on the pedal, speeding forward. Her wheels squeaked noisily as she made a sloppy turn and then sped down the road.
Cameron
The sight of his home surrounded by a cop cars, a firetruck and ambulance was not the most welcoming one Cameron could have asked for. There was an acrid aroma drifting through the air, causing Cameron to feel an uncomfortable choking sensation in his throat. Dark clouds of smoke were billowing over the mansion. How on earth had the house ended up on fire? He finally moved forward in a fit of anger and confusion, gently grabbing one police officer's shoulder and turning him, "What the hell happened here?" "This is your home, sir? There was a huge fire. According to the neighbors, it took over almost the entire house. We haven't seen a fire grow as much as it did then suddenly extinguish."The officer explained to him," No idea if it was some kitchen accident or somethin' but the extent of damage isn't reversible. Surely a man who can afford this house can-" Cameron started tuning the man out at some point as his sister's name crossed his mind. Willow. He thought with a sudden heart jolt. "Where's my sister?"He demanded suddenly. He could hear heart pounding in his ears as he clenched his fists. There had been so much loss this year; Cameron couldn't bear to lose the only family he had left. Besides that point, she was his best friend. He turned toward the ambulance before the man could even answer and bolted toward it as its red and blue lights flashed rhythmically over the scene. He caught sight of brown hair spilling off the side of a stretcher as she was carefully loaded into the ambulance and stubbornly climbed into the ambulance as well, going over to take her hand. "She's going to be alright." A medic quickly assured him. "We're going to have to take her to a hospital that's a bit farther off though. The closest one had some sort of terrorist attack or something earlier. " Cameron looked up with her, shaking slightly and gave her quite the smile. "Oh she better be." There was no else in the ambulance with them at the moment and Cameron was feeling more emotion than he had in a long time. He had usually shut out all emotions. "If she's not, we're going to have a problem." If his sister so had a paper cut after this, perhaps he'd grab them and teleport them into the ocean even though Cameron wasn't so sure that was something he could do. He had yet to try teleporting other people but it was never too late to give it a go.
