Houkoushi Koutaigo (皇太后 蜂光子 Koutaigo Houkoushi) She'd seen the 'Cyber Beast' thing on the news too; it was big stuff, even all the way over in Nagasaki, but there had been more of those attacks? And the government or somebody had decided to hide it or something? That was pretty unbelievable at first blush, especially when it sounded like a theory of one of those conspiracy whatsit schlumps, but it actually did make some worrying sense. Stuff like that didn't happen in a vacuum. There had to be some place somewhere for those schmucks to have come from if these D-Connect guys had been working on doing something for it. This anime thing or whatever went way over her head though. Houkoushi could honestly say that she wasn't so big of a fan; that was her lil' bro, which made this entire thing even more weird for her. Actually shoving those Digimon into like, the D-Scanner things to make real? Not just virtual pet things? Using them to fight monsters? The world never seemed like it was one of those shows she watched as a little brat, but if the rich old guy was gabbing on about it, it was really real? She stared at the materialising Commandramon in shock, her expression one of surprise even after it was returned to its home. The entire thing was unbelievable. Totally unexpected. Did these guys' know-how do this stuff already? And why her? She was an awesome hockey player sure but not all TV needed a sporty person for a hero? She wasn't that big of a fan too? What was the selection process anyway? The new D-Scanner before her drew in her eyes. Man, this was a total surprise. Like, no warning whatsoever. Houkoushi reached out anyway, carefully taking the device into her hands. Maybe her bro'd find it cool. And ... if there were these shmucks hurting people ... there needed to be cool folks like her ready to stop them right? "Perfecto, padrone," she uttered, accent bleeding through. It was a lot less heavy than she'd thought it'd be. Huh, weird. She looked around. Those two older dudes had already taken the thingamabobs too. And the one that looked like one of those handsome drama stars ... wow, that was some serious dramatic posing. And more ego than even her, hahaha. "Copycat legion, ey senpai?" she asked, her attention now focused on the older boy. She wondered what he was talking about. Sounded like a weird thing to compare himself to when getting a snazzy new monster-hunting device.
