The Wandering Chronos, Ordo Chronos Quarters, Master Alexius' Chambers, A week after the Meeting Aboard Saint' Chariot
[@Hecticlord],[@Wraithblade6] Alexius and the Ordo were being swamped. He hadn't had the opportunity to send the full requisition reports to Lord Corbec, he and his Ordo were busy trying to figure out who had infiltrated the Errant Cohort Fleet based on what they'd accumulated aboard the Battleship. Interrogating practically everyone aboard the ship had come up with nothing besides Alexius' suspicions having been proven about some members of his Inquisitors' retinues having loose tongues around others while in service off of the ship when it came to salacious rumours within the Ordo. Suitable disciplinary action had been taken, but it hadn't put Alexius' concerns to rest. Aside from that, the Ordo was divided on how to proceed with its new role now that the Errant Cohort had been transferred out of their leadership into that of the Lord-Militant's. This freed them up for their true tasks, but between reports of planetside problems on Arexia Prime, their own suspicious infiltration problems, just generally overseeing the massive forces within the new Imperium's growing fleet and armies, they didn't know where to start. To this end, Alexius had assembled the more senior members of his Ordo, his Lord Inquisitors: Gerion, Faustus, Beatrix, and Xanthous to discuss the matter and arrange their strategy for the Inquisitors under their purviews. Gerion's would follow up this case of infiltration within their fleet, Faustus' would be in charge of dealing with future incidents involving the Imperium's fleet and armies, Beatrix' would help where they were needed on cases involving the civilian aspects of the Imperium, and Xanthous' would for now see to inducting more Inquisitors into the Ordo, since they could benefit from some more numbers in the future. He dismissed them to begin preparing their Inquisitors for their assigned tasks, while he called privately for Inquisitor Varius Malodrax and began writing his message to Lord Corbec, it was an attachment to the manifests and lists of all forces within the Errant Cohort and all data they had on them. The data told a simple story in its long files, the Errant Cohort was a mess of a military unit. Millions of forces made up its numbers, mostly human but coming from hundreds of different worlds and regiments, many without surviving commanders or impromptu officers who arose out of pure might or wit rather than ability, and many with their own unique sub-cultures that could clash or cohere well with various others. Then there were the Xenos units, though vastly outnumbered by their human counterparts, a couple of Kroot Battlespheres and other Tau exiles had forces within the fleet, a couple tribes of Jokareo were in attendance, and even more unfamiliar Xenos contributed the odd airship to their cause, their allegiances were to Alexius, whom assured they would be fairly treated under the Lord-Militant so long as they showed him the same loyalty as they had him. As for the personal attachment itself was basically encrypted with a standard Imperial Guard key but labelled for the Lord Militant's eyes only. It read as follows: +++Decryption Successful+++ Lord Corbec, As an accompaniment to the data you asked for about my former forces and fleet, I have taken it upon myself to an issue a warning to you. It has come to light that weeks prior, someone accessed this data and in all likelihood even more from the cogitators of the Errant Cohort fleet. While you can be assured my Ordo is working to get to the bottom of WHO did this, I advise you to beware of any suspicious activity among your troops or within the fleet. I fear whoever tried to take this data did not do so with benevolent intentions, and may seek to undermine your authority, or the integrity of said assets to our new Imperium. Be vigilant, and report any suspicious occurrences that could be tied to this matter to myself, or if I cannot be reached, to Lord Inquisitor Ignatius Faustus, as he and his Inquisitors will be in charge of investigating matters regarding your forces and those of the rest of the Imperium. The Emperor Protects, Master Alexius Commenus of the Ordo Chronos, and of the Inquisition of the Imperium Reborn Shortly after, he had finished typing his message, Varius entered. "You summoned me, Master?" "Yes, Inquisitor Varius. As of right now, you shall be removed from Lord Inquisitor Gerion' purview and put under Special Assignment to report directly to me." Inquisitor Varius maintaining his composure but bowing slightly to try and avoid Alexius' gaze, he knew the Master was an excellent judge of a person through their eyes and didn't want him to see his surprise. "As you wish, sir, and what exactly is my Special Assignment?" Alexius smiled from behind his desk. "I believe you already know, Inquisitor. You and your retinue shall be overseeing the Relictors until they have proven themselves and their Captain Lattore has fulfilled his end of the deal we struck which you witnessed. You are the only other aboard who knows of the Artifact they guard besides myself, and the Captain seems to trust you, therefore you are the most well-suited to this task. Observe them, guide them where they seek it as my representative, perform the Emperor's will as is needed and required of you, and do not disappoint me or your Ordo." Inquisitor Varius made the sign of the Aquila. "I shall make ready to leave to fulfill this task, Master."
