Chick lied to me both about her motivations for joining the RP, and about why she wanted me to change my character. The two are interrelated: she wanted the 1x1 to blossom into her crummy little wish-fulfillment romance RP where the princess gradually falls in love with her loyal, devoted guardian-knight.

My character was too ugly for her, but her way of trying to convey this to me was by claiming he was "too old" instead.

I managed to catch her lie because the alternative portrait she offered to me was of Aragorn, who in the 2001 film was played by a 43-year-old actor, and who in the books is in his eighties due to his Numenorean lineage. Yeah, she, uh, never read the books.

I tried to stick it out but then she stopped posting in the IC. Went totally cold-shoulder on me. Which usually I hate, but honestly I was very grateful for in this case. lol.

Maybe I'll block out her name and post the screenshots. It's pretty funny in retrospect.
