[@DearTrickster] You know Barron isn't old amongst Vampires. In fact he's probably the youngest Vampire yet of his species. Also not all of Barron's Men are Vampires, though not too many know that. Some are Human, Succubi, Vampire, Siren, insert more random species here. But you get the idea. He doesn't go around telling people just what types of Demi Humans are in his Mafia.
