Ciana & Trico
"You're making the Elder have heart palpitations. Would you please come down from there?" A male voice that was not her own echoed through her mind, deep yet still holding tones of youth. Ciana glanced far down below, spying figures standing on a platform near one of the temple entrances. Trico was unmistakable, mighty form towering over the monks at his side. She could still see the blue tint of his eyes even from as high up as she was. The monks were jabbering to each other, pointing up at her before pointing up at Trico. "They said if you refuse to come down, I'll have to come up there and get you." Ciana groaned from her position of clinging to the many hand and foot-holds of the tower. Honestly, they treated her like she was made of glass. "But I wanted to see how high I could climb today. It's no fun using the light bridges and my wings. Besides, I'll get fat if I don't exert myself." She complained to her friend, feeling the beast heave a mental sigh. "Fine, I'll come down." She grumbled as a cheeky grin stole over her face. Since the monks were ruining her fun, why not have fun while still doing as they wished? Releasing the rock, she let gravity grab hold of her and send her falling downwards. She could hear the alarmed shouts of the monks as bright light burst from her back in the form of wings. They snapped open and her fall turned into a lazy, circling glide until she had descended down to their level, perching lightly on Trico's back. The great beast turned his snake-like head and stared at her, gaze part amused, part exasperated. "You're going to give me a heart-attack one of these days by doing that, even if I know you could fly and I know I could catch you if you couldn't." Ciana laughed, falling face-first into the feathers on his neck as she began to rub them, calming her friend down. "Ciana Ignatius!" The voice boomed from the ground and Ciana winced, slowly crawling forward until her head was peeking out from Trico's feathers as she looked down at the Elder's unamused glare. "Oh boy." She whispered to herself.
