A Last, free meal
L'azul sat in one of the many food-courts on the station, a plate of warm food before him recently aquired. The warm noodles and broth sat in front of the Kautada as he stared, eyes un-moving and expression implaccable. His ordinarily pale white skin was a muted pale blue as he stared at the food before him. Anyone who'd me the amphibian in the last ten or so minutes would tell you he was like many of his species, cheery and full of joy, happy to meet and carry a conversation with anyone. A bit tiring perhaps but pleasant like most all of his species. Now though, with the eyes off of him and his meal before him... alone... he ponders his situation. Framed. Stripped of his credibility. Wiped from records like he didn't exist. Recorded as a vile monaster, a breaker of ethics. And this? A bowl of noodles and broth, was to be his last meal as a free Kautada. After this he was to report to the Monroe on schedule... a ship filled with criminals, murderers and thieves. Now... they would be his only companions... until the day he died. He'd never see his family or old colleagues... this was it. A bowl of noodles on a space station that were rapidly getting cold. His last act free was eating a bowl of broth and noodles... what a wonderful few days it had been. He began t eat the noodles, drinking the broth quietly and preparing to leave. Once done he sighed, shouldered his duffelbag full of possesions and made his way to the docks... it was time to see the ship he would die in, thought the doctor.
