Antisocial and hard to get along with due to her unwillingness to cooperate with others unless forced too through external means. She isn’t one for being a rouge, she won’t stray from the mission, in fact, she’ll focus on it the entire way through, she knows her job and preforms it as best as she can in all situations. Despite what some would think of her she isn’t a particularly cold person, she’ll speak when spoken too and is kind and courteous at heart she just prefers not to get too close to people thinking of it as an occupational hazard. Backstory: Mari was born of a human male and elven female; her father met her mother while he was out on a hunt and his prey fled into the forest that those specific elves called home alerting them. Her mother, who was on guard that morning killed the monster then proceeded to question the human about his reasons for being here. After deciding he was a moron she escorted him to the edge of the forest and warned him not to come back, but unlucky for her he was smitten and wouldn’t take no for a real answer. It took a while for his mother to come around to liking him, in fact, it was two years, but eventually the stalker got the girl and they settled down in the forest far away from the tribe of elves for reasons they wouldn’t tell Mari. In her youth, she was raised decently by her parents, as far as living in the forest, isolated from civilization was concerned her social skills suffered tremendously. She was allowed into the village to buy things for her parents when her father was away on a hunt, more often than not she would accompany her father to the human towns for supplies; there was nothing stopping them from moving to the town other than her mother’s unwillingness to leave the forest for whatever reason, this was the spawn of many arguments. She learned about animal patterns, migrations and other tracking techniques from her mother while her father taught her how to hold and use guns, most importantly he taught her not to be afraid of taking a life. Thankfully, she was a natural with a gun far surpassing both her mother and father’s expectation at the young age of ten, and only continued to improve throughout her life. Sometime around her teenage years the number of harmful creatures started to rise in the forest so much so the elven village offered to take the family out of fear of losing another one of their own. Not even high walls could protect them against the creatures that came, burning trees down, breaking the front gates and pillaging the elves making their legion of defenses kneel before them. These weren’t just some simple-minded creatures they could think and plan almost like the entire thing was in the makings for a very long time and Mari was born at the wrong time. The sudden onslaught caused the teenager to develop much faster than she normal would have, being forced to fight for survival long after her parents and most of the elves were dead. Killing, salvaging and overall surviving turned her into a professional in years it took to reclaim her forest, over the rest of her life she has made quite the name for herself even earning the nickname ‘Deadeye’ for her talents with firearms. Skills and Abilities: It goes without saying Mari has a talent for firearms so much it's almost like poetry, watching her aim down the sights and pull the trigger. She is an excellent tracker from animals to humanoid and anything in between she can follow a trail longer than most people. However, Mari is a fledgling when it comes to using hand to hand or sword in general like a child she just cannot manage to perform even the simplest stances. She is also a talented artist and scribe being able to map out a terrain effectively to use as a marker without much need to study it.
