Lord Regent Karthis
[@Hecticlord]

Having memory of a conversation with someone who wanted him to forfeit all his power and "full integrate" into their petty Imperium fresh in his mind, Karthis was not exactly all too amused when someone else came along and wanted him to basically do the same. Just sign over all of his military assists to some one with a shiny badge to "consolidate power structure" or at least "station a liaison on his ship". There was plenty of what Karthis deemed to be a personal affront and he felt urges to do something stupid, but he tempered his emotions and preformed a breath exercise. Four breaths in, four breath out, repeat four times to complete one set and do as many times as needed. Cracking his neck and stretching his back, he sent a message back to this "Lord-Militant Gabriel Corbec, of the Imperial Guard". Karthis wondered if it was a title he took for himself or some honorary position that Gregori had slapped onto him to keep him loyal and feeling important.
[i]Lord-Militant Gabriel Corbec, of the Imperial Guard, I have only recently been preparing for an 'integration' into the petty imperium of Gregori Amastov. I am denying your request to assume complete control over my own forces for reasons that I do not feel like I need to explain. As of right now, they are under my command and only your Emperor Gregori having a position higher than I in the chain of command. In addition, I will not be accepting any "liaisons" of your own persons on my ship for any business relating to military command or watching my every action. My men are Nova Miliatrum and they are loyal to the fleet first and will remain that way as of right now. You need not worry about coordination for standard military communications should suffice; I fail to see how you need a detachment of your own men aboard my fleet to ensure vox or astropahtic communications. I have confidence in that in the upcoming battle there should be no need for such detailed and paranoid linkage of observations troop movement and battle plans to the degree which you press unto me unless you truly have such little faith in the abilities of your commanders and officers. With the division of our two armies, I can assure you that we will have a tactical advantage over our enemy. You see, should we be a single body, any infiltration of our ranks and espionage of our battle plans could potentially destroy us as the enemy will know exactly where the bulk of our forces will be. However, should we have our armies be separate, the enemy will have to exhaust more time and effort in attempts at stealing both of our united battle plans meaning they will only be able to know half of our on goings. In addition, the consolation of such forces will only put a strain on your commanders as they attempt to lead and command forces twice as large as they are used to which will obviously cause issues. Your experience in the Imperial Guard should tell you that it is harder to command large units of troops and assets effectively. Going beyond that, having troops of two very distinct and different cultures on the eve of a battle will not be doing anyone any favors as culture shocks and social difference would divide the troops at a very base level. Their combat effectiveness will undobutly suffer because of this. In addition, your commanders will not have the respect nor trust of my men and vice versa. Surely you in all of your wisdom as a Lord-Militant and exprience can see reason in this all. As such, in the light of this logic I will not be resigning my own forces to you but fear not, they still fight under the banner of Gregori Amaztov.
