Her wings were gone, disappeared as if they never existed though ready to burst out at a seconds notice should she have need of them. A frown furrowed her brow, heart stinging slightly. She knew that climbing the tower did have its risks but she knew she wouldn't have gotten hurt, because she could use her power and Trico had been there to catch her in a moments notice. Big though he may be, he was fairly spry and quick on his feet. As if summoned by her thoughts, she felt him give her a mental nudge, prompting the girl to gaze up at him. "He was just worried about you." The giant Guardian stated. Ciana sighed as they entered one of the courtyards, the laughter and sounds of gleeful shouting filling the space as the children of the temple ran about and played. "I know but...I don't need to be treated like a flower that's going to bowl over with the next breeze. Sometimes I think everyone is a little too protective of me." In fact, it dawned on her, as she watched the children play, that the older monks treated her with a kind of...reverence. Until she had always saw some unnamed emotion in their eyes and couldn't think of a word for it until now. Why though? What made her so special? Her thought process was broken as a ball bounced across the ground and stopped by her feet. She glanced down then back up to see the children smiling and waving at her to join. Ciana grinned and abandoned her worries for the moment, simply relaxing and letting herself think only of the game.
Later, Ciana and Trico were sitting on top of the highest tower, a megalith made from marble with carved runes decorating the surface. Ciana was dangling her legs over the edge as she watched the sun fade below the horizon. Silence stretched between the two but it was a comfotable one. Wing beats rent the silence like a knife and Ciana spotted the Elder arriving on the back of one of the older Guardians. The two Guardians locked eyes before Trico gave a nod and leaned down to nuzzle Ciana before he swooped away. The Elder took a seat beside Ciana before he began explaining in a gentle voice, about the prophecy, about her part in it, and why she was treated with care at the temple. Ciana sat in quiet shock, not believing what she was hearing. Once the tale was done, she opened her mouth to tell the Elder that this was a bunch of malarkey, something resonated through her. It was a voice, but at the same time it wasn't. She grew quiet, eyes wide. Her trance was eventually broken by a few shakes from the Elder. Ciana looked at him, expression serious for once in her life. "I think someone needs my help."
[@EurmalEye][@PharaohAtem][@The One] Once she had explained to the Elder everything she knew, she and Trico were loaded with a bag of supplies and ushered to the portal. Ciana sat on Trico's back, gazing sadly at her home and at her family. As much as she wanted to stay, there was something instead her whispering that she was born to do this, it was her destiny. With a sorrowful heart and a determined expression, the two disappeared through the portal. They exited inside a cave that was thankfully large enough for Trico. They followed the tunnels to the surface to an uninhabited island, where Trico took to the skies. The girl guided her companion in the direction they needed to go, Ciana feeling a pull towards whoever had sent out the SOS. She sent out her own call, albeit a little clumsy since she's never communicated with anyone other than Trico before, letting whoever know she was on her way to help. She may not fully understand everything that was going on but if she had a chance to help then she was going to. Trico flew as fast as his wings could and before they knew it, they were descending from above the clouds to what looked like a war going on below. Trico hovered in the sky, Ciana peering over his back as she gazed down below, snow white hair whipping behind her. She tentatively sent her mind out again, searching for the person who had sent out the SOS as she wondered what she and Trico needed to do.
