Serah's week was, for the most part, uneventful. She'd become almost numb to the daily routine of training, even with a new Sergeant in town, and her free time didn't amount to much either. Jason was too busy working on Ribasu to pay her any mind, Zim and Roger were always in training simulators, Sigma had started to ignore her... it almost felt as if she was being left out. She knew full well that it wasn't that way, but it still stung that everyone was too busy to hang out with her. In the mission briefing Serah only half-paid attention. It wasn't because she was being apathetic at rescuing Elora- she wanted to see the girl back just as much as everyone else. No, the reason Serah was so distracted was because she couldn't help but look at everyone's faces now and again, seeing an almost completely shared gloom in their eyes. It's like nobody had any faith in themselves- in the squad. Almost as if they were predestined to fail. The girl didn't like that. It hurt to see everyone being so doubtful- even if there's good reason for it. Serah herself had full confidence in everyone's abilities, it's not like they haven't surmounted impossible odds before. She snapped back to reality once the mission briefing was over, leaving the pilots with a little time to amuse themselves before launching it proper. Serah's eyes trailed back to two particular males in the room, who'd just stepped forward to volunteer for extra weaponry. "Mou..." With a small whine, the girl slipped out of the room. She felt extremely disappointed, though it was for petty reasons. The guy she wanted to spend a bit more time with had spent all his time with his machine of war. What she felt bordered dangerously close on jealousy towards said machine, jealousy of all of that boy's attention being spent on it and not everyone else... or even her. "Not that you deserve to spend time with them." The thoughts in Serah's head took a dark turn and the girl did her best to quickly shake them off. The moment she did, though, she spotted Jason and Zim walking out of the briefing room together. They passed by her without so much as sparing a glance, both of them too lost in thought to pay her any mind. Serah stayed quiet. She didn't want to disturb either of them, even if she did want to talk to them. They probably had other things to worry about. Things more important than her. Serah bit her lip. She could tail the both of them, though she had a feeling she knew where they'd go anyway. They'd go to the hangar, like always, and she didn't want to go there. Not for the moment, anyway. She'd just laze around for a bit, maybe even go to the lounge. Maybe there someone would spend some time with her. It'd be nice, at the very least.
