When the group arrived at the village, the first thought that came into Maria's mind was how it reminded her of the old towns that she once visited when she went to Europe that one time. "This really isn't Japan anymore, huh?" she mumbled to herself. She then saw the odd-looking cat-rabbit looking things that wandered around outside the village. At first, she was tempted to get closer to them since they looked so cute and all. But, seeing how the rest of the group just walked straight to the village, she resisted that temptation. It wouldn't do to be separated with the others when you had no idea where you were. When she looked at the signs placed in the village, she was surprised that she somehow could read them perfectly even though they were written in an alphabet she couldn't recognize. "Guild, tavern, inn, weapon shop, armor shop, item shop..." she talked to herself. "I suggest we check out the guild first. It seemed to be the most important place here, judging by its size," she said as she looked to the large building where the sign was pointing.
