[@ClocktowerEchos] Here's something i cooked up, read and critique pls. Before i write something about the specifics of psychic powers, could you please first explain me some stuff? Should i describe specific powers or just broadly describe him as a telekine or powerful biomancer? How many powers should i have? How many "schools" of power can i practice? How will you judge if and when i summon psychic phenomena or perils? I'd like to emphasize that in my imagination, this guy is recruited primarily not thanks to EXTREME psychic powers, but due to stability of his manifestations and the great and terrible feat he fulfilled in the course of mentioned daemonic incursion, which signified just how badass he is at being faithful and strong-willed. Oh, and of course because his bones are worth a fortune in Malleus money and are connected to a mysterious prophecy of sorts. Also sorry for run-on sentences. Majority of bones in the body, including inner surface of the skull engraved with wards, runes and symbols of power that are anathema to daemonkind. Subject resorts to ample use of makeup. 10 Years - First raid into the underhive as a part of a Spyrer gang, utilizing a Malcadon rig. Performance satisfactory. Attitude, nonchalant. 12 Years - First manifestation of psychic abilities, presumably as a result of sexual tension, numerous casualties. Subject surrendered honorably with no further issues. House subjected itself to selective mind-scrubbing and/or purging voluntarily. 23/12 Years(Approx) - Black Ship arrives on Holy Terra, subject leaves stasis, sanctioning rites begins. 28/17 Years - Sanctioning rites ends. Mind-probing and interrogation of subject and witnesses - especially Astropath Transcendent [DATA EXPUNGED] signifies that the daemon, upon entering the body, immediately attempted to escape. Subject resorted to forcing the Neverborn to stay inside him until it was destroyed by the glyphs and wards within his bones. Prophecy confirmation pending. Subject's willpower, commendable. Torture signifies a considerable level of purity and dedication. 36/28 Years - Inducted into The Holy Orders of the Emperor's Inquisition after extensive testing and a probation period. Appointed under tutelage of Spectral Aeon [DATA EXPUNGED]. Performance, acceptable. (Will add more after getting some info) PERSONALITY: Ravan is thoroughly dedicated to the Emperor and his Inquisition - partly due to thorough indoctrination he underwent as a citizen of Imperium and a Psyker, partly due to the position of prestige and opportunity for amassing great power the service provides and partly because he is now grimly aware that no matter how vicious and unforgiving Imperium might be at times, all other options are so much worse they do not warrant mentioning. However, his zeal and dedication is not exactly like that of raving redemptionists or grimly determined assassins - while posessing a powerful, unbreakable inner core that is filled with righteous determination to see Emperor's work fulfilled, when not in an immediately life-threatening situation and not dealing with matters of grave importance at hand (truly, in such situations he is as no-nonsense, discrete and obedient as can be), the man attempts to spend his time as leisurely and happily as possible, believing earnestly that if God-Emperor was unhappy with his performance he would not put him in a position where he can safely enjoy the spoils of his hard work. Good food whenever possible, carnal pleasures wherever attainable, exotic hobbies and substances picked up on faraway exotic pleasures - no matter how far away from his previous life, Ravan starkly refuses to let go of his nobleman roots. He particularily loves to whine and complain about every single detail of his surroundings that insults his delicate sensibilities and refined artistic taste. Ravan thoroughly enjoys employing his psychic powers and seeing them increase and grow. It is not a curse that makes him a sub-human, he thinks, it is a blessing given unto him by the Emperor to better serve the interests of Mankind, one that only the strongest of will and faith can sustain and control - simultaneously a test for the righteous and a reward for those who pass. While ultimately he does not abuse his abilities in unsightly or outright dangerous ways and wisely fettering his power unless absolutely required or explicitly ordered not to, his masters and overseers are unhappy with Ravan's overall attitude regarding psychic powers - but for as long as it serves to no end other than making him train and excercise vigorously and safeguard his mind against temptations, he is allowed that little bit of leniency. TIME WITH INQUISITOR Will soon PM ya for deets.
