Good thing that was never extended to free breakfast. Considering his prospects before Nylah offered to buy were Eggos or toast, Kieran was going to enjoy whatever she bought. The fact that it was a delicious Canuck Cluster, a sandwich he coined at the restaurant but never extended to a rhyming moniker, made it as sweet as the maple syrup embedded in the sausage. The Canadian laughed at the show of Nylah sarcastically Instagramming the bagel acquisition. Or at least laughed as best he could with food in his mouth. He wasn't waiting to capture the aura of his sandwich, he was starving after last night's exploits. The redhead had asked where he was, but she quickly moved on. Part of her personality I guess. After taking a huge bite out of the breakfast, Kieran listened to all that Nylah had brought up and did his best to answer the questions as they came. "Let's see...Yes, night was good, yes, tradition, and kinda?" The ex-hockey player took another bite but he guessed that Nylah would want more details on that last one...as well as what happened at the Rock Pile. "It's not a heck of a lot, which is good cause of the whole budget thing." He rubbed the back of his head. "Just a notebook that I saw while around downtown. It's back at the homestead, but it's a real solid one' durable, water-resistant. Just something for the Journalism bro, you know?" Another mouthful of egg, cheese and meat was taken in. "I mean, it's the least I can do, right? If it weren't for him, I'd never have gotten anywhere in the city." Kieran shook his head. "Least until I can pay him back proper with, I dunno, a new console or something." He looked back up at Nylah, as if snapped out of his self-reflective trance, "Oh, and booze. Can't forget about the booze. Got my share of that covered tonight." Propping his elbows on the table as he held the remaining half of his breakfast, he looked at the actress. "How about you? Any big plans cooked up for his present?"
