A maid either side from behind them, grinning with delight as if welcomed home from a long journey. Through the open way, a large room that fitted a staircase, butlers and maids tended to their separate tasks. Some carried silver serving dishes or cleaning equipment, though all seemed to be finding their separate ways. "May I take your coat, Master Dwight?" A maid proposed, in a distinctive British accent. Albretch looked on in awe as he was transported into a most distinct memory, slipping one arm out at a time before handing his coat to the maid. He gazed over the inside of the manor, inspecting it for flaws, yet it seemed his memory was not splintered. Albretch focused over to the stairway. Recalling moments of his childhood to which he'd slide down the bannister, even though his Mother and Father would scold him for doing so. "Is there anything I can fetch for you Master Dwight?" The maid suggested in a courteous tone. "Thankyou, though that is not necessary." Albretch responded, still bewildered by the sights around him. The maid presented a cheerful smile, nodding her head whilst doing so, one hand on top of the other resting against her stomach. "Yes Master Dwight. Your Father is waiting for you in the study room." The maid informed before heading off. Father? Albretch made his way toward the study room in a lengthy manner, taking in the vivid paintings and decor. He pushed his palm against the door and peered through the small opening. "Albretch? Is that you Albretch?" His Father called in a modulated tone. Albretch continued to push the door until he saw his Father seated in his armchair near an open fire, a newspaper unfolded in his lap. "Albretch, where have you been all this time? Mother has been worried sick." His father questioned with a mellow voice, looking over to Albretch, a warm smile against his lips. "Oh! Father!" Albretch responded, holding back his tears. He ran across the space of the study and onto his Father's lap, his arms hooked around the back of his neck. Albretch dug his face into his Father's shoulder, sobbing lightly so to go unnoticed. "Why Albretch! What has gotten into you my boy!" Father chuckled. "I've been gone for far too long Father, far too long" Albretch replied, feeling a tear roll down the side of his nose and down his chin.
Albretch began to slowly fade from his daydream after feeling gentle contact on his shoulder, reacquainting himself to his surroundings and the open sky in front. A single tear rolled down from his eye, across his cheek, and dissipated onto the floor. He could have effortlessly considered not turning around. However, if someone was trying to get his attention, it would be rather rude of him to ignore. He wiped himself with his right sleeve before turning around, noticing a girl standing among him. Albretch wasn't attentive to what the girl had said, nor that she had her hand at the holster. "What is it?" Albretch spoke in a less than assertive tone.
