"Can we all just agree that this isn't going to escalate in to anything?" she asks quietly, keeping her voice down so she didn't alert anyone else in the restaurant. It wasn't like they needed the whole diner to wonder what the deal was with the three of them. "I mean, I won't unless one of you is gonna pull something weird."

Alec snorts out a laugh when Nikki says that it's been the last ten years of his life. "You're actually a pretty funny guy. I need to go drop off my books, but then I was gonna go out for dinner if you wanted to join." Although, he had to watch what he said about getting dinner.
