OK bear with me on this one
Name: Luca Entity: Clockwork Clone Age: Mechanical functions have run for 1.19852e+12 cycles -- nineteen years by Earth standards. Biological age is 18, same qualifier. Genre: well I won't be the first Allineation: harmony Description: A human shell wrapped about a mechanical core. Features are entirely human. Ticks. One of a series of millions created from the same mechanical components, each with a unique combination of human DNA. His series is 117A9. His name is Luca. Window Dressing While Luca may seem strange in construction to those not familiar with his timeline, he is rather typical. He exhibits certain traits which others may consider 'defining' -- these are, in general, neither strengths nor weaknesses, rather states of being. For the curious -- the mechanical aspects of his body are not 'enhancements' in the, well, uh, TERMINATOR sense of the word. Better to consider them evolutionary necessities in a wildly different environment. Should offer only very limited advantages outside of his natural habitat. If you were to describe them as his 'super powers,' you might say he has 'the power to stand very still,' or 'the supernatural ability to withstand sustained X-ray barrage.' Mobility is 100% organic, in accordance with certain corporate agreements -- no super-strength or speed or whatever. Attributes [-] Abilities: Incredibly resilient internal organs. Extremely precise fine motor control (millimeter-specific finger movements, 1/100th-degree limb manipulations). A good dancer, if the music is right. Would be considered in excellent physical shape by modern standards. It's mostly the diet. Knowledge: the nearest similar field would be engineering. Luca is (was?) studying a distant descendant of nano-robotic energy manipulation -- to call it a battery is to rob it of significance but, well, he was going to assist in the construction of psycho-level batteries. The specific process involved a Russian nesting-doll scenario of small autonomous tools constructing smaller autonomous tools and so on. Certain mind-blowing discoveries fathered this sort of technology but, as a mere student, Luca is no expert in any of these -- he merely was born/bred/built in a time when such things happened to be pedestrian. To whit: he can build a pretty good molecular golem out of heliphorous and gyron using a parallax muon ray assembly. Can he build his own parallax muon ray assembly? Not a chance in hell, so, ya know. And what would we probably DO with a molecular golem anyway? I guess the point here is, Luca is from a very different time. Personal Effects [-] *Rations -- designed to keep Clockworks running, so, you know. Greasy. You might not like 'em much. *Aspiration kit -- Luca's series was engineered to be, in modern terms, a self-contained environmental suit. His survivability coefficient falls within acceptable parameters. Still, certain threats exist which are better mitigated with equipment than with structural modification. The Aspiration Kit allows a user to -- in a certain sense -- breathe for 10^300 cycles -- 1.58549e+289 years. No need to hold your breath (non-Clockworks, and clockworks series <83xx, may struggle with the vacuum of deep space, however). *Precision laser rangefinder magnification trinoculars -- sometimes the archaic technology is still around because it works. Maximum effective range is 31x10^3 miles, so it's more of an up-close-and-personal tool, but it has applications. Also displays rate-of-closure to make solo ship-transfers less, shall we say, bumpy? *Wave -- a communications device which will certainly be of absolutely no use. It's a safety feature built into Clockworks who may be at risk of loss during space transit. When coupled with the Aspiration Kit and the PLRMT, rate of successful recovery is increased by 19%. *The unpronouncable -- I'm not personally sure how it's spelled correctly, and I CERTAINLY can't sound-it-out. Just weird mouth sounds. It's a, ah, waste-aggregator. Allows a user to, uh.... make waste. All sorts of waste. Then it, well..... resolves that, odorlessly. Can be safely utilized for most matter, so don't put your hamster in there if you ever want to see it again. About the size of a tin can. If it fits, it -- ah. Wastes. I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING, why WHY would you bring such a pointless thing? It makes sense in zero G, just..... just take my word for it. You don't even want to know. Clockworks wouldn't be caught dead without one. Everybody carries one. Thus, Luca has one. If you're confused -- yes, it's awkward. But if you put something in the can, that something goes away forever. SCIENCE!
Alright. Alright, I hear you -- HEY I SAID ALRIGHT already god. Players, if you're wondering how to handle Luca -- good, I've got you right where I want you. He should be as weird to your characters as he is to you (barring an unforseen entry who, like, knows all about molecular golems, or whatever). The essence of the character is this: he's a very normal guy. Built out of insane pieces and technology, sure, but don't worry about it. Something tells me that's not going to be a problem.
